Our previous time in New Orleans was one long, crazy night working our way down Bourbon Street. Since we were here for awhile prepping for NBA's All Star Weekend, we chose to live in the Central Biz District. Walking distance to Bourbon but a much more peaceful place to exist.
The apartment was owned by an interior designer and often used as a showroom. The highlight was the private elevator that opened right into our bedroom. We felt like celebrities.
A bar downstairs and a roof deck upstairs gave us ample space to kick back.
For the past few years when we wanted a good laugh, we'd tune in to the Cat's Karaoke livestream to see drunk fools belting out pop hits. We had so much fun visiting the bar in real life that we ended up bringing one of the karaoke hosts to SXSW to be on our team!
Just blocks away from the French Quarter was Tremé. It quickly became our favorite neighborhood to explore while taking in all the vivid Creole colors.
