Once the site of a Masonic Temple, this building now houses the Joffrey Ballet on the lower floors and beautiful residences above. The summer sun painted the walls of our 19th floor apartment and the patio's astro-turf was a fun touch.

It was Kaitlyn's first time in Chicago.

We were in town to run a special project during Lollapalooza. We arrived a few days early so I headed to Trunk Club HQ to get fitted for something I've always wanted: a custom-tailored suit!

We hit it off with my stylist Adri pretty quickly and the next day she even took Kaitlyn around Chicago to shop.

From our apartment, it was a 20 minute walk to Millennium Park. Our team would meet each morning just before 110 decibles of the Star Wars theme blared as the gates opened to thousands of kids, who were hours early just to stake out a good spot.

After Lollapalooza wrapped up, we took the Chicago Architecture Foundation's Boat Tour at sunset. It's an inspiring lesson of Chicago's skyline and the companies behind them.

Before leaving Illinois, we spent a few days visiting my grandmother in nearby Deerfield.
My mom grew up here and the living room hasn't changed a smidge in decades.
